1920-2010 - Miramichi - Delta Aleta Steeves, widow of the late Dr. Gordon A. Steeves, of the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, and formerly of Princess Street, Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on Monday morning, December 20, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 90. Born in Berry Mills, on February 12, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Weyman and Annie (Lewis) Horsman. She was a homemaker; a member of the Anglican Parish of Chatham, Miramichi; a life member of the A.C.W.; a member of the church choir; a member of the Chatham Duplicate Bridge Club. She is survived by one daughter, Susan Steeves and her husband, Danny LeBlanc, of Sackville; one son, David E. Steeves and his wife, Shirley, of Dartmouth, N.S.; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Laura, Hannah; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 2003; four brothers, Bliss, Carroll, Claude, Lee Horsman.

Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Pauls Anglican Church, Miramichi, on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Gordon Thompson, assisted by Rev. Richard Steeves. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Pauls Cemetery Fund, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
