WALKER, Elizabeth (Coatsworth)

Born December 20, 1910, Walkerville, Ontario, died October 29, 2007, Belmont House, Toronto. Deeply loved all of her life, first by her parents Joseph and Lucy (Brundage) Coatsworth, her late sisters and brother, Josephine (Garnet) O'Neill, Edith (Sim) Stodgell, Dorothy (Gordon) Dewar and Watson (Marie) Coatsworth, and by her adoring late husband Edward Maxwell Walker. Elizabeth was down to earth, gracious, generous and caring, with innate wisdom and good taste, and an infectious sense of fun that attracted hosts of lifelong friends wherever she and Max lived. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Ann Hanna (John, 1968), grandsons Jeffrey Hanna (Canmore, AB), and David (Susie) Hanna, Toronto, and great-grandchildren Will and Elizabeth Hanna, all of whom she loved unconditionally and beyond reason, her finest legacy. The dedicated staff at Belmont House 2W, with their infinite patience and understanding, are extraordinary human beings. Particularly attuned to her every nuance, her glorious willfulness and her inborn sense of humour were her special caregivers, Marilou Billones and Alma Ablona. Elizabeth's family is forever grateful to each and every one at Belmont who cared so lovingly for her. A family service has been held. To honour Elizabeth, laugh with the people you love and tell them often how much they matter to you. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through
