PARLEE, MARION JENNIE - 103, formerly of Salisbury, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side at her residence- the Kenneth E. Spencer Home on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Born in Millstream, N.B. on July 16, 1906 she was a daughter of the late John A. and Jennie (Parlee) Northrup. She was a member of the Steeves Memorial United Church and the U.C.W.of the church and an adherent of the Salisbury United Church. A life member of the former Allison Women's Institute, she also attended the Monday Morning Merry makers at the Salisbury Legion, while living at the Salisbury Lions Senior Citizen Complex, where she enjoyed many card games with her friends and neighbours. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Carolyn Smith (Rand); step-daughter Marolyn Dawson (Jim); step-sons Norris (Dovie), Howard (Mary) and Allen (Brenda) Parlee. She is also survived by grandchildren Shelley Jones (Edward), Christine Smith, Scott Smith (Kelly) and step-grandchildren Gregory (Leslie), Karen Reddy (Jerry), Keith Parlee (Dana), Graham Parlee (Michelle), Kerry Doelling (Larry), Cindy Parlee, Lisa Graves (Jamie), Andrew Parlee (Chantal), Angela Fiendel (Jonathan), Matthew Parlee, Robert Fawcett (Katherine); 27 great grandchildren; sister Ruth Willis of Sussex and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Delbert Crossman, second husband Hillis Parlee, infant daughter Glenna Margaret; sisters Florence Northrup, Margaret McAleese and brother Frank Northrup. Visiting with the family at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Monday October 12 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dan Compton officiating assisted by Rev. Wayne Smith. Interment at the Wilmot Cemetery, Lower Coverdale. Memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca
