Swan - Smith, Lottie P. (nee Crossman) age 99, of Dawson Settlement, NB. and formerly of Riverview; passed away at her daughter's residence in Dawson Settlement, on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Lottie was born in Pine Glen, NB on March 1, 1911; she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Effie (Steeves) Crossman. She was a former member of Gunningsville Baptist Church in Riverview and a member of the Moncton Wesleyan Church. Lottie was a skilled seamstress, she also excelled at quilting, knitting and crochet. A loving and caring mother, nana, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend, she will be sadly missed by her three daughters Ruth Wilbur (Harold) of Campbellton, Pat Kendrick (Sheldon) of Dawson Settlement and Merilyn Swan of Riverview; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, one great-great grandchild; as well as her extended family and friends. Lottie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by first husband Clifton Swan in 1974 and by her second husband Ronald B. Smith in 1997; also by two daughters Janet MacDonald (Rae) and Shirley MacMillan (John G.); grandsons Robert Rogers and Scott Naylor; sons-in-law Ralph Naylor and Gerald Rogers; brothers Delbert, Garfield, Charles, John, Dorrin, Carl and Alexander and by her sister Jessie.

Visitation will be held at Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. and on Saturday, February 5, 2011 from 12:30pm till the time of the service. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Pastor David Way officiating. Donations in Lottie's memory made to the Moncton Wesleyan Church Building Fund or to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
