THELMA ISABEL JENKINS, RN (NEE JONES) 20 APRIL 1910 28 SEPTEMBER 2008 Predeceased by her husband William (Bill) '1997' and her parents Matthew and Maria Jane Jones of Brantford. Mom died peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas, Ontario where many family members had gathered to make their farewells. She was the much loved mother of Beverley (the late Milan), Sandra (the late Ross), Ralph (Pauline), Deirdre (Richard) and Garth (Solange). Mom loved to hear about the activities of her 17 grandchildren, her 14 great-grandchildren and remembered all of their birthdays. Aunt Thelma will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and by her friends in Hamilton and Dundas. She is survived by her sister Frances Hobbs of Paris, Ontario and her sister-in-law Marjorie Jenkins of Dundas, Ontario. Thelma was a life member in the Alumnae Association, St Joseph's School of Nursing (Class of `31) and a long time and active member of Westdale United Church. For the past seven years she enjoyed her retirement at the Georgian in Dundas, many thanks to the staff there for their kindness to Mom. Cremation having taken place, a Memorial visitation will be held at SWACKHAMER, BL ACHFORD & WRAY FUNERAL HOME, 1341 Main Street West (opposite McMaster) on Friday, October 3, from 12-1 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 1 p.m. followed by interment at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Westdale United Church, the Good Shepherd Centre, Hamilton, The CNIB, Hamilton or a charity of your choice.
