Peacefully, in her 100th year, at Creek Way Village in Burlington. She leaves her three children, Bruce Jackson, Jori Morrison, and Marni Jackson; daughter-in-law Kathy Jackson and sons-in-law Wayne Morrison and Brian D. Predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Clyde Bruce Jackson (April 22, 1908 - May 6, 2002), sister Helen McEown, and brother Charles Hay.

Born in Kingston, Ontario, Olive grew up in Saskatoon, where she earned a degree at the University of Saskatchewan in math and home economics. Clyde and Olive met in their early teens, when a night out meant skating on the Saskatchewan River. They married in 1934, and moved to Burlington in 1947 where they enjoyed a long, loving partnership focussed on family. Olive was a strong prairie woman, open-minded and thoughtful, a lifelong student of the arts and sciences. Her intelligence and creativity enriched the lives of all who knew and loved her.
