WYNN, Nettie Alice (nee Moore)

Jan. 23, 1909 - Sept. 17, 2008

Nettie was a majestic lady, living her 100 years with courage and determination. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) J. Wynn in 1970 and by her three brothers and five sisters. Nettie was the devoted Mum to daughter, Eleanore. Born in Renfrew, Ontario, she remained proud of her Ottawa Valley roots, spending many summers at the Moore cottage at Hurds Lake. Residing in Leaside for 67 years, she passed away peacefully at Cummer Lodge, Toronto. Nettie was a long time member of Leaside United/ UCW. The Wynns were Charter members of the Leaside Curling Club. Much thanks to the staff of 3 South at Cummer Lodge. Special thanks to Suzette Besana for her loving care of Nettie and Eleanore. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, September 19 and from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, September 20. A service of celebration and thanksgiving will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 4 p.m. at LEASIDE UNITED CHURCH, 822 Millwood Road, Toronto, M4G 1W4. If desired, memorial tributes may be made to Leaside United Church, or to the Scott Mission, 502 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M5S 2H1 or to a charity of one's choice.
