Mamie Phyllis Burlock 1914 - 2008 Mamie P. Burlock, a lifelong resident of Berry Mills, passed away following a brief illness at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the age of 93 years. Born in Berry Mills, NB; she was the daughter of the late Henry O. and Alice M. (Rogers) Trites. She was a proud and loyal member of Stilesville United Church and was a former member of the Berry Mills Womens Institute. Mamie enjoyed knitting, search word puzzles and loved family gatherings. She will be dearly missed by her four daughters, Eleanor Sherwood (Bill) of Berry Mills, Janet Barton (Robert) of Sussex Corner, Donna Colpitts (Peter) of Alma and Nancy Burlock of Moncton; her two sons, Henry Burlock (Florence) of Moncton and Stewart Burlock (Marti) of Berry Mills; son-in-laws, Kenneth Milner of Saint John and James Barron of Elgin; her eighteen grandchildren; her nineteen great grandchildren also by her niece, Elizabeth Goodwin of Lower Sackville. Mamie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Earl W. Burlock in 1986, by her daughters, Barbara Milner and Linda Barron, brothers Lloyd and Harris, and by sisters Edith and Wilma. There is no viewing at the Funeral Home by personal request A memorial service will be held at the graveside at Horsman Cemetery, Lutes Mountain on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Sheila Redden - Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Donald MacDougall. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Berry Mills Baptist Church , just off the old TransCanada Hwy at the corner of Rogers Rd. Berry Mills immediately following the service at Horsman Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations made to Memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
