PACAUD, Henriette Lucille

("Lou") Eveline

Born August 27, 1907 in Montreal and died on December 26, 2013 in Montreal. Lou was the daughter of George W. Pacaud and Henriette Pacaud (Fauteux) and was predeceased by her brothers Errol, Charles Edward (Ned) and Robert. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and other relations in the United States. Lou is lovingly remembered by her family and many friends for her energy, positive views and her consideration and help of others. Lou worked for years at the Dominion Textile Company and following retirement in 1973 directed her energy to volunteering at the Montreal General Hospital. In 2009 the hospital officially recognized Lou for nearly four decades of regular volunteer service to its patients. Lou was the family historian and provided its members with documents and stories of many preceding generations including those who, in the 17th Century, brought their small ships from La Rochelle to Canada to engage in the fur trade. For 13 years Lou lived at Fulford House in Montreal where she made many friends and organized her fellow residents' bridge games. A service in her memory will take place at 11:30 a.m. on January 8, 2014 at St. James the Apostle Church, 1439 St. Catherine St. W., Montreal. If desired donations to the Montreal General Hospital Foundation, 1650 Cedar Ave, Montreal, QC, H3G1A4 would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made through : Collins Clarke McGillvray White
