HARPER, HELEN MARY - Helen Mary Harper, 103, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Golden Years Estates and People?s Park Tower, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2013. Born in Hillsborough, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Margaret (Blake) Harper. Helen had a strong love of family and spent most of her working life in Montreal before returning home upon her retirement. She enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Montreal Canadiens in the winter and the Toronto Blue Jays baseball games in the summer. Helen had a sharp mind, a persistent sweet tooth and her independence, living in People?s Park Tower for thirty years until she was 99 years old. Helen will be sadly missed by her sister, Laura Day (late Roy) of Moncton; sister-in-law, Audrey Harper (late Claude) of Montreal; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Grace and Dorothy Bauer (late Larry); brothers, Charles (Murielle), Paul (Winnie), Claude, Gerald (Bessie) and Royden (Kay).

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Augustine?s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Laurence Quinn?Morris officiating. Reception following the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. In Helen?s memory, donations to the Ray of Hope Needy Kitchen would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences at
