PASSING OF MRS. RICHARD ARMITAGE

At her late residence, 21 Terrill Ave., Sherbrooke, on Monday, Feb. 1st., 1932, Margaret Ann Trenholm beloved wife of the late Richard Armitage, aged 79 years.

For 33 years Mrs. Armitage has been a resident of Sherbrooke and whose family and numerous relatives are numbered among the prominent citizens of many Eastern Townships centers.

She had been seriously ill at her home since October, so her passing was not unexpected by those of her family who have tenderly cared for her during her last long illness.

She leaves to mourn her passing four sons, Mr. J. Howard Armitage of Montreal, Messrs. J. Russell, Marcus T. and Arthur Armitage of Sherbrooke; three daughters, Mrs. F.E. Pitts, of St. Lambert, Mrs. J. Howard Dixon, of Medicine Hat, Alta., and Mrs. E.M. Wiggett, of Sherbrooke; three sisters, Mrs. M.G. Crombie, of Richmond, Mrs. B.E. Reed, of Ulverton, and Mrs. W.R. Stevens, of Richmond: one brother, Mr. Fred Trenholm, of Agassiz, B.C.; Mrs. W.H. Trenholm, of Westmount, sister-in-law; twelve grandchildren and many other relatives. Her husband predeceased her 3 years ago.
