John Dickson was the first settler on the next property. Of English nationality, a good farmer and a skilled workman, he made his own brick and built a large house that is still being used and in perfect condition. Two of Mr. Dickson's sons became Anglican clergymen, and Wynne, a grandson of John, is at present Deputy Minister of Education for the Province of Quebec. Mr. W. Johnston of Montreal owns the property now. |
